How It All Started

My name is Amy Smith-Hightower and I had a reality check become the greatest lesson life has taught me.

I was guilty of living the typical American 70 hour work week. My routines consisted of mostly working as a retail store manager, then getting home and taking care of cooking and cleaning. As it turns out, I became so occupied with life that I neglected myself and it took a turn for the worst.

It was a typical work day at the store when I remember I climbed up some stairs to reach for something. Next thing I know.. I’m waking up in the emergency room. That was the day I found out I weighed 240 pounds and my blood pressure indicated I was ready to have a stroke at any moment!

I was tired of taking so many pills. The way they made me feel, and knowing I had no choice when it came to needing them. I knew there had to be a better way to live, and I was going to find out what it was.

I’ve always been a nerd so when I learned about Keto, I dove in glasses first. I decided I needed extra guidance so I hired expensive coaches that charge outrageous rates, most around $600-$800 dollars.

This was not sustainable.

I learned all I could and said goodbye to my mentors. I built on what I knew from them and researched until I became as informed on the subject as possible. You could say I ate, slept, and breathed keto and all there was to learn about. Now I offer free coaching and help people meet their healthy Keto goals.

How it impacted my life

Keto has changed the very way I live and the way I look at my life.

I started my journey in March 2017 and I’m proud to say I’ve lost over 100 pounds since then.

Since taking control of my life with Keto, I’ve noticed small changes here and there. Like how I don’t feel the famous 5’o’clock crash and the 7 a.m despair. I sleep better. I feel better. I’m living BETTER.

Another small perk? The pleasant look of surprise people give me when they realize it’s me.

Their follow up question, “What are you doing right!?”, brings a smile to my face every time.

“Keto” is all I have to say for them to know why I’m so different.

Keto isn’t a diet, it’s a lifestyle that I fully embrace. It’s honestly changed my life and it’s the reason why I was able to finally say goodbye to all the pills and weekly doctor appointments.

But what’s really rewarding is that I’m able to help over 97,000 people feel just as incredible as I do. I share what I know and provide people with meal plans and free coaching because I want to make a difference.

The Ketogenic diet has allowed me to take control of my life and give back to those who want to take this journey with me.
