We’re in the home stretch! So how do we finish off 2021 strong? How do we end this year with purpose and go into 2022 on the right foot?
Let the air out of your sail. In other words, don’t try so hard – or better yet, don’t try at all.
If this sounds counter-productive, let me explain.
We have been going so hard for 2 full years. This has included going hard during unknowns, going hard while life is extra unpredictable, and going hard just to keep going hard. It’s time to let the air out and just coast with all of the hard work you have put in already.
What does this look like while staying on track of achieving our goals?
Finish off 2021 strong …
(without exhausting yourself with effort)
- Create a vision board for 2022. Whether it’s pen to paper, an artistic collage that requires physical cutting and pasting, or virtual vision board – put your goals to work by creating a visual tool to help you remember the track that you are on. Vision boards can be so much fun! Create them with your family, make a date night out of it, do one with your friends, or just spend a day/evening alone while sipping a bulletproof coffee and listening to your favorite playlist or podcast. The point here is to chill out and create.
- Rest. That’s right, amidst all the hustle and bustle that is the approaching Chrstmas season, take time and get some real rest. Take a nap, put your phone on ‘do not disturb’, do not feel obligated to over-extend yourself, go for a walk and rest your mind. Now is not the time to be everything to everybody!
- Plan your weeks. And I don’t mean stack your days with things to do, I mean plan your meals and carve out time to do nothing but be at ease. You can get through your days much easier when you have loosely planned how and who you spend them with. You may have some extra activities on your roster over the next few weeks (but not too many), so make sure you have them planned out so you aren’t wearing yourself thin!
More than anything, enjoy yourself.
Keto living is all about living a healthier lifestyle, this means making healthier choices when it comes to how we take care of ourselves as a whole. The Christmas season can get carried away with extra stress around what we will eat, how we will work, who we will see (or not), how much we spend, and whether we have overdone it….again!
Finishing the year off strong doesn’t have to mean you are running faster and harder towards your end goal, many of us have been doing this all year! It just means that you can let the hard work continue to work for you while you recover.
There are my 3 ways to finish off 2021 strong, let me know in the comments what you would add!

I love this community. I appreciate that there is so much help with macros and food plans and general encouragement from you and your team. I love when scrolling Facebook to see UCANKETO post…I often read all of the comments as well to tips and tricks. Thank you for all you do!
Awesome blog Amy!!ive never thought about creating a vision board for my weight loss goals and to be strong during the triggers and temptations. I’ve done it before for my business goals but this will be even better!!!! I’ll be working on it this week. I caved some during thanksgiving and I can’t afford to let those old habits creep back into my daily actions. It will make me end up where I was at the beginning of my weight loss journey. THANKS!
Appreciate your site, good information and recipes. Enjoy knowing your journey, success, information you learn & share.
I joined in April of 2019. In that time I learned that everything I thought was right was wrong. During the 2 years I have lost 80 pounds. But here is the biggest part of the story. I was 85 at the time. I am now 87. 225 at 5’2” was a rather chubby old lady. I was on oxygen, CPAP, etc, size 22W. No more of that and now weigh 145, size 14 pants and large tops. Just got a part time job at the library and it’s all good!
I love this so much!! So happy for you
