Committing to a high-fat, low-carb diet can come with challenges, and I am here to help make this process easier with five keto meal prep hacks!
Let’s face it; we did not commit to improving our health by eating processed or prepared keto foods.
We have decided to commit to improving our health by preparing foods at home, and meal prep is at the heart of this journey.
Meal prepping your ingredients or meals in batches will allow you to keep them in the fridge or freezer, which is much easier and time efficient.
This will not only save time but will save you money too!
Genius Keto Meal Prep Hacks
- Purchase and pre-cook keto-friendly meats. Purchase your meats in family-sized packs, cook and freeze or refrigerate. This way, you can have a variety of prepared meats ready to thaw while you effortlessly prepare the remainder of your low-carb meal!
- Boil eggs in batches. Boiled eggs last up to a week in the fridge, and they’re easy to store because you can boil a dozen and put them right back into the carton. Boiled eggs can be added to your snack and can be used for egg salad, deviled eggs, or as a topping for a delicious salad!
- Do NOT skip the fat bombs. Fat bombs are easy to make and easy to store or freeze. These delicious little bite-sized, high-fat snacks will satisfy your hunger and your sweet tooth. Head on over to my Facebook group, where I have a ton of keto fat-bomb recipes for you to try!
- Pre-assemble your keto lunches for the week. The key here is to ensure you have air-tight containers. You can use the meat you prepared in bulk, cook some chicken (switch up the seasonings for variety), shred it, and add it to vegetables and salads, or create keto wraps! Whichever you choose, ensure you pack a lunch for every day of the week that is balanced and nutritious with lots of fats, protein, and fiber.
- Do not waste your avocado! We all know that avocados will be perfectly ripe for a day, max. If you aren’t going to eat the entire avocado, add some lime juice to the exposed half with the seed intact and wrap it tightly with cling wrap. Place it in the fridge until you are ready to use it. This will keep the exposed part from browning or spoiling.
Sometimes the keto hack will come from the store.

Meal prep has become a way of life for those who are managing their health while leading busy lifestyles, so finding creative items to make this easier for you will also save you time and money in the long run.
Bento boxes are great for people who don’t like their food to touch; there are salad containers that include separate compartments for dressing, and gadgets and tools to make the keto meal prep more efficient.
Look out for that blog (coming next week!)
I’ll share some of my favorite meal prep tools to make the process more efficient and enjoyable.

Thanks so much Amy!! My biggest issue is not meal prepping. Then, I eat whatever is in sight, or don’t eat at all during the day while I’m away from home. Big, big mistake!!!

I can’t do Keto without prepping.
So true about fat bombs. I make 2 batches at a time and freeze them so I always have a fat bomb available.
Tgank you for these tips.
Thank you for the great advice.
Thank you for the great tips. I use one of those egg steamers. I have a 14-egg one and gave the BF my 6-egg one for his home. I don’t have to watch it and it shuts off automatically. Saves on time, water, and clean-up.
